October 8, 2017: While in Port Hope to watch the annual salmon run, we stopped by The Social Bar and Table for a quick bite. Seeing nothing too special on the menu and knowing that we would be enjoying a feast of a dinner later that night, we ordered a burger to share. (They had a Sunday brunch menu out as well.)
The Social Bar and Table was a really quaint and cozy restaurant with a large bar. The server informed us when we walked in that they only had two tables available, a table in the dining area or the bar. I selected the bar because then we could watch them prepare drinks and food! Food entertainment is very important too! ;D
The Classic Burger comprised of a Wellington county prime rib, organic greens, tomato, and red onion and served with fries on the side. This was a good looking burger and tasted good too! I especially loved the fries with the dip on the side. It was so delicious! 😀
They have a patio too. It was a really nice homey restaurant to enjoy a casual meal at.
