This is a restaurant that has been popping up on my Instagram feed since it opened sometime this year. September 15, 2017: For our third day in Zhangjiajie, China, we stayed at the Mellow Crystal Hotel (张家界梅洛水晶酒店). This was a really nice hotel! It seemed like we were alternating from good hotel to bad hotel and then good hotel each day on this trip.
The Mellow Crystal Hotel had a very large and spacious lobby. The rooms were gorgeous and almost like a suite based on how the layout in the room was. After you walked into the room, there was a wide area for the TV and work desk and also a sofa set too. There was an individual room for the toilet. Continue reading

September 15, 2017: The day started early with a 6 a.m. morning call and departure at 7:30 a.m. After we got ready, we went to the same restaurant we went to last night for dinner for the continental breakfast.
Breakfast selection was limited but there was still a noodle bar station. Chinese people really like their morning noodle bowls here! XD

Temporary: How fitting during this time of year that the fall leaves are what’s relevant to this week’s theme. Looking outside, there are a few trees that still have their summer greens but for the most part, this is the time of the year where nearly every tree that changes its leaves’ colours has dropped them to the ground after the weekend’s rain and wind. Before that though, the precious two weeks or so of beautiful fall foliage are seen and loved by all. They are fleeting views and difficult to savour over a long period of time. On our first full day in Changsha, we woke up at 6:15 a.m. and got ready to go downstairs to eat breakfast on the fourth floor. It was a complimentary continental breakfast, Chinese style. There weren’t many tables in the small restaurant but luckily we had six people to hold down our own table.
