Weekly Photo Challenge: Awakening

 avocado seed sprouting roots

Markham, Ontario. January 2018

When my avocado seed finally starts to awaken after a cold winter.

Although to be honest, I’m still waiting for full spring temperatures to “bloom” (get it?).  It’s been a very cloudy and grey start of spring (not complaining though because I like cloudy skies).  It won’t be until there is more sunlight streaming in and warm waves heating up these babies that they’ll fully start to sprout better.  But at least they’re awake now and just waiting.  Just me. 😀

Look at its tiny root peering out!

There is something intriguing about clouds. I just started growing a sweet potato in water. We’ll see what happens.

Peering, sprouting, blooming, Awakening! Nice word imagery!

  6. They are fun to watch as they sprout. Have you ever gotten avocados from one?

Nope, I live in Canada. It’s actually not possible to grow them big enough to get avocados haha. This is purely just for my indoor entertainment. 🙂
