January 1, 2020:  We started off the first day of the new year with brunch at Shanghai Dim Sum (城隍廟小吃) (330 Hwy 7, Unit #108,) at the Golden Court Plaza in Richmond Hill.  I had dined at their Scarborough location a few years ago and highly enjoyed the large array of Shanghainese dishes at affordable prices.  It was nice to try out this new-ish location in Richmond Hill (this unit used to house a Vietnamese restaurant).

From 9 to 11 a.m., Shanghai Dim Sum has special prices for their select dim sum and dishes.  There were about a dozen items for only $1 too!  These items were things like sweet soy milk, steamed pork and cabbage buns, fried rice cakes, green onion pancakes, and others.  Some other soups, congee, noodles, and side dishes were also available at a reduced price during this early bird breakfast period.

We ordered a variety of items mostly from the early breakfast menu but also tried the new Pan Fried Juicy Bun/Curry Beef (the first order is only $1.50 while the second order is $3.50).

Every dish was pretty tasty and great for sharing.  I was already excited to visit again in the future to try more of their dishes on the menu.
