Federal Palace

Located in Hong Kong

For an afternoon brunch, we went to Federal Palace for dim sum and noodles.  This is a restaurant in Yau Ma Tei that spans the 3rd to 5th floor.

The food here was mediocre to good, but it’s hard to say really because it’s not like we tried out everything in the entire store.

We ordered sui mai (these were just okay), rice noodle (also okay), cold chicken peanut butter rice sheets (pretty good with strong peanut butter taste! Mm!), veggie steamed dumplings (okay, not too flavourful), and two large soup noodles to share.

Sui mai, a classic

dumplings

Shredded chicken with peanut sauce over rice sheets

I liked the first one that had fish paste in it.  The rice noodles were stringy and firm.  Almost a little too firm..  I liked the soup base and drank all of it.

The second one had a tomato soup base and meat.  It was good but I liked the first one more. 🙂

So many dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong..have you been to this one before? :9

3rd to 5th floor? dang, Asia does it big! I’ve had a chance to try majority of the dishes on your photos but can’t say I ever seen dumpling made like that O.o
