Chao Yang Chinese Cuisine 朝陽飯莊 (Hong Kong)

Located at 27/F, Shop 1, iSquare, Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong

Ah, Chao Yang Chinese Cuisine.  The last time we were in Hong Kong, we went to this restaurant to eat as well.  It’s located in iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong on the 27th floor which means that it overlooks some amazing views in Hong Kong.  We didn’t sit near the windows this time so I didn’t get a shot of the view but you feel pretty good to have nice (Northern) Chinese food at this place!   The place hasn’t changed at all, from its nice decor to the awesome way they plate all their dishes (nice foodie pictures for you all). 😉

We ordered food from a set list and chose various dishes.  There were eight of us so we had a lot of food!  I don’t know the name of each one so you’ll have to bear with me as I just report what it was and how it tasted:

We started off with each of us having some hot fruit juice.  This was very refreshing although I don’t remember exactly what was in it now.

This stuff! It’s seafood and cold and chewy. 🙂  Anyone know the name?

Sliced pork:

Mmm!  This one I know — Pan-Fried Eggs stuffed with Chinese Chives.  I’d had this before and the way they made this one was just okay.  It wasn’t crispy enough for my taste.

Oooh! Kung Pao Chicken!  This one was delicious 😀

Chao Yang Braised Chicken with Garlic, Chili Oil, and Sesame Sauce:  This next dish was set down by the server and then mixed in front of us.  There was a sauce and noodles that went on top of the chicken.  It was yummy!

Lamb skewers!!  This was my choice.  This was so delicious 😀  The server took the meat off the skewers for us.

Fish skin marinated in some type of sauce.  Yum!  It was a little bit sour and tangy due to the marinate so it wasn’t the most popular dish at the table lol.  Again, my choice — because I like to choose unique dishes to try. 🙂

Stir-fry meat with veggies:

Yummy chow mein:

Ooo!!  These were delicious.  Pork!  It was very flavourful and soft but a little fatty.  I guess that’s what made it soft lol.

Rice.

Dessert.

All in all, the food was great and affordable!  A restaurant of choice for my relatives.
