One of my fondest memories and achieved bucket list items to date was swimming with dolphins — which I got to do two years ago in Cozumel, Mexico. This was with the Dolphin Discovery company. I’ve been inspired again to pick up litter around my neighbourhood after attending another annual Canadian Shoreline Cleanup with the Trillium Lions recently– you can view the blog post here. I have always loved picking up trash… it might sound weird to you but it is a challenge to me to try to find all of the litter when walking around, a goal to be able to pick up as much garbage as I can find, and it’s fun (for me). The first time I dined at Cho Sun Ok was many, many years ago. This was before they had renovated and still had an open space restaurant (and also before this blog existed!). During that first visit, I had tried their cold noodles (which were very well known at Cho Sun Ok and recommended to me by a friend) and I had found the dish to be quite ordinary and it didn’t really appeal to me. Fast forward to today though, I really wanted to return back to Cho Sun Ok to try these cold noodles again to refresh my impression of the restaurant. Continue reading
Trius Winery at Hillebrand located at 1249 Niagara Stone Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake
I had the pleasure to be invited to dine at Trius Winery at Hillebrand this past Friday night! I believe I’ve been to Trius Winery before for a wine tasting tour but I’m not positive. Either way, we arrived at Trius Winery just after 7 p.m. and the sun was beaming in the south ready to set. This gave a beautiful glow to the winery and restaurant where the dining experience would be held. It was so beautiful out and we could see the grapevines beyond the field too. Continue reading
