Lake Louise Village Grill & Bar

Lake Louise Village Grill & Bar located at 101 Lake Louise Dr in Lake Louise, Alberta

On New Year’s day, we had a road trip from Calgary to Lake Louise and Banff in Alberta!  We were blessed to have great weather on this day.  Despite being chilly outside, it was the best weather we could ask for because the skies were clear, the roads were clear of any heavy snow, and our trip was smooth and we arrived safely.  A big thank you to our friends for driving us there! ^_^   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Alphabet

Edgewood Public School, Toronto. February 2011

Recently, someone asked me if I would return to the teaching field and resume educating those in the upcoming generations.  I’m not sure because the future is unknown and we can never say for certain about some things but I also hold several reasons of why I prefer not to work in that field anymore; nevertheless, this week’s photo challenge talks about the alphabet.   Continue reading

On my first official day in Edmonton, Alberta, we went to Southgate Centre to do some shopping (I really am not a fan of shopping, especially in-store shopping …).  Nevertheless, before the shopping began for my friends, we went to State & Main Kitchen & Bar for some lunch!  I was really excited to walk into a restaurant in Edmonton and eat some food (and so that I could blog about it)!   Continue reading

Füdi Meal #2: Chicken Cacciatora with Pearl Barley and Kale

The second Füdi Meal that I chose to make was the Chicken Cacciatora with Pearl Barley and Kale.  I had never had “Chicken Cacciatora” before; Wikipedia tells me that it is an Italian “hunter” type of prepared chicken and actually spelled with an E at the end of its name — cacciatore.   Continue reading
