Canada’s 150th birthday only comes around once in a lifetime so Smoke’s Poutinerie has come up with “the most Canadian-themed dish the world has ever seen” to produce the Canadian of all Canadian poutines to celebrate this historic milestone! Chi’s Congee & Noodle House located at 1177 Central Pkwy W, Unit 66 in Mississauga
Last weekend, we came here for lunch with Ken’s family. Chi’s Congee & Noodle House is a standard Cantonese restaurant that serves rice, noodles, congee, stir-fried dishes, soups, and the like. It’s located in the busy and popular Golden Square Centre in Mississauga. The last time I was in this area was for the media tasting of the nearby Moral’s Village!

After the BBQ Eats Festival, we ventured to downtown Korea Town and ended up at Lim Ga Ne for dinner. We chose this restaurant based on the fact that it was dinner time and we wanted an available restaurant that wasn’t too empty but yet where we wouldn’t have to wait for a table either. 2017 BBQ Eats Festival held at Ontario Place at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West in Toronto
I was first alerted to this BBQ Eats Festival in early May and I even registered for the event to get two free tickets. Fast forward to the event last weekend and I found out that the event itself was actually free all along and thus my two free tickets weren’t really so free at all lol. (Upon closer reading of the description, the tickets enabled me to get into the event one hour early… entry line bypass.)

Last Friday evening, Ken and I checked out the new restaurant at Kennedy and Highway 7 called Black Bear Japanese Fusion. This Japanese fusion restaurant takes the place of a previous long-running Japanese sushi restaurant called Sushi on 7.
