Weekly Photo Challenge: Selfie

Everland Resort, South Korea. Dec. 2012

Selfie:  This is one of my favourite selfies ever.  Why?  Because I look good and I was travelling.  What more can you ask for in life? ^_^   Continue reading →

Skyview Fusion Cuisine

Located at 8261 Woodbine Ave in Markham

Skyview Fusion Cuisine is a Chinese restaurant located at Woodbine and Highway 7.  It takes the place of a previous all-you-can-eat buffet that was fairly decent in my eyes.  Skyview offers dim sum, dinners, and banquets for birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions.  They also offer free wifi (that is very fast!). 🙂   Continue reading →

Phoenix Restaurant

Thornhill location at 8190 Bayview Avenue

Phoenix Restaurant is an HK-style cafe that serves combos of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner with daily soups or tea/coffee.  At this point of my food blogging, I’ve touched on several HK-style cafes that I really don’t have much else to say about this one specifically.  Phoenix Restaurant has opened up three locations in Thornhill and Markham and you can easily find it populated with lots of Asians at any time of the day.   Continue reading →

All of the Food that I ate during the Trip to China 2013

I said I would put this collection of food pictures up from when I visited China with the Mon Sheong Youth Group for 15 days during July of last year.  So here it is!  Might as well put it up now, before my next trip, get finally caught up with my travel blog entries and also as a prelude to this year’s Winterlicious 2014 event. 😀   Continue reading →

My Punta Cana Excursion. Part 2

Fri. Dec. 27, 2013

Today was another amazing day in sunny and perfect weather. 😀

Despite planning a full itinerary of things to do, we didn’t quite wake up as early as we had hoped, so breakfast became a brunch.   Continue reading →

My Punta Cana Excursion. Part 1

Thurs. Dec. 26, 2013

Today, Holly and I travelled to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! The entire trip to get there was smooth, starting off with her dad who drove us to Pearson International Airport at 2:30 am in the morning.  I love how Pearson’s boarding gates now have these really swanky tables and chairs for people to lounge in and outlets to charge their devices.   Continue reading →

Lemon Tree [Defunct]

Located at 3255 Highway 7 East, Unit 9 in Markham

Let me start off by saying that I didn’t like this restaurant and you are better off going elsewhere for good Vietnamese, Malaysian, Thai, and Indonesian food.  Lemon Tree is one of the ubiquitous restaurants in the First Markham place mall strip.  The owners are Chinese and the restaurant is bare and clammy with no decorations.   Continue reading →

Being a Part of the Studio Audience at Steven and Chris

At the Steven and Chris taping!

When my friend contacted me last week about an invitation to be a part of the studio audience at a television talk show called “Steven & Chris“, I was intrigued.  I had not seen any of their episodes (Sorry, Steven and Chris, if you’re reading this!), but since I am always up for brand new experiences, I was in.   Continue reading →

Sneaky Dee’s

Located at 431 College St.  Thanks for the picture, Nhi! =)

Sneaky Dee’s has been a long-time popular establishment in downtown Toronto.  It is a grungy place that serves what is known as the best nachos in town, Tex-Mex and pub grub, bar, and live music.  The upstairs area serves as a concert venue for artists to showcase their talents.   Continue reading →
