TO Food Fest 2013!
I attended the second annual TO Food Fest yesterday in the blistering heat. The event features well known food trucks and eateries selling their most popular yummies in a food show. It’s sort of like the night markets except during the day. The event began at 1 p.m. and lasted until 6 p.m. Continue reading
DiSCOVER 2013 retreat
This weekend was a bit of a prelude to the 2-week trip to China that I’ll be partaking in during July as part of the culminating event to the 6-month DiSCOVER youth development program. We went up to Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario, and lodged in a very well facilitated resort house for the weekend. Continue reading

Peruvian dishes at El Fogon
Last night, a friend and I tried Peruvian food at El Fogon. It’s a nice little restaurant on St. Clair West. I was the first person to walk into the restaurant at 7 p.m. on a Thursday night, but as the night went on, there were more patrons. It seems like a small family-owned restaurant which is always nice. Continue reading

My Favourite Dishes at Golden Shanghai Restaurant
June 2013: This is a restaurant that serves Shanghai food that I’ve visited every so often over the past several years. I don’t remember when was the first time I stepped into this restaurant as it was many years ago, but because of the really good food that they serve here, I’ve been coming back again and again every time I feel like having some of my favourite Shanghainese dishes.

A First Dinner Visit to Richmond Station
My friend and I visited this little restaurant called Richmond Station a week ago to have a nice catch-up dinner since she had just returned from teaching overseas and travelling away from home for over two years. It was a quaint little restaurant and not too loud inside so it was perfect to eat and catch up. Continue reading
