September 9, 2018: We dined at La Milkeria where their crepes were a standout according to some online reviews.
La Milkeria was a small and cute Parisan style café that served gelato and pastries too.
Surprising, although we were still within the touristy parts of the city (walking distance from the Uffizi), they had no English menu and everything was in Italian. Continue reading

Date night at La Taquizza Restaurant & Tequila Bar! This is a Mexican restaurant and was one of a few that still had available seating on a busy and cold Saturday night. We were welcomed in and given a seat near their kitchen where one of us was able to see through the glass panes and glimpse the kitchen staff assembling tacos and quesadillas and other items. My cousin brought us to Social Place (唐宮小聚) for dim sum. It wasn’t until we arrived that I realized it was such a trendy restaurant for Shanghainese food and dim sum (branded as contemporary Chinese cuisine)!
