January 18, 2019:
Stopped by the Mong Kok branch of Hoi Tin Tong (海天堂) for a bowl of the traditional herbal turtle jelly. This branch is smaller than the one I’ve been to before. It has a dine-in section and a take-out counter as well.
The bowl of turtle jelly was lukewarm hot and not fully scathing. I liked how there was a short documentary playing on loop on the flat-screen TV about the benefits of herbal turtle jelly and how this nutritious treat apparently is made from the turtle’s shell/back.
It’s always a nice spot to stop by to balance what I’ve been eating with some soothing herbal jelly.
