I’m so tempted to put up a photo of something that is in DISarray this week — since I can think of a few things that are disorderly this week — but alas I came up with this one: Sushi burritos in order! This was taken at a recent food tasting where almost always the food displays meant for photography are organized and staged in neat and meticulous ways.

After a fun and successful photo shoot in Main Street Unionville, we went to Booster’s on Main to quench our thirst and for some bites. At this time, the sun was beginning to set but the weather outside was still good enough to squeeze in some patio time. Thus, Ken and I asked to be seated outside on the patio. Luckily, we were able to nab the last one.

One of the coolest things about being a stenographer is that every day is different and you might get to work out of new locations! Today, I worked in this office which was all about land surveying. All around the room, there were lots of artifacts and old maps as decor (historical compasses and telescopes). I felt like I was in a mini museum lol. Continue reading

These “friends” of mine are seen year-round but only during mid-May to early June do you see the small ones emerge for the first time. West Caribbean cruise. April 2014
This week’s photo challenge is “evanescent: a moment in time that holds meaning for you”. This photo was taken by one of my travel companions when I went on my first cruise to the West Caribbeans in April of 2014. This is not only a fleeting moment in time because the sunrise doesn’t last very long (sometimes when you’re not paying attention, it seems like it turns from darkness to day light in just second) but also because it was mechanically a fleeting moment in time for me. Love Me Sweet located at 7181 Yonge St., Suite 16 in Thornhill
Yesterday, as part of the dessert selection for the first barbecue of the season, we had dessert from Love Me Sweet. Love Me Sweet is a growing Japanese-style cheesecake chain that began sometime in the last two years and has now (at the time of posting) three locations in total in Toronto! (Their second location is at Scarborough Town Centre while the third one is at Yonge & Sheppard — I saw it recently when I was there for the Silo 13 #jojoinstameets.) Continue reading
