Yay! I’m finally all caught up to my transcripts and steno work!!! It’s been a good 2, 3 weeks of busy non-stop transcripts.

This week’s photo challenge is “evanescent: a moment in time that holds meaning for you”. This photo was taken by one of my travel companions when I went on my first cruise to the West Caribbeans in April of 2014. This is not only a fleeting moment in time because the sunrise doesn’t last very long (sometimes when you’re not paying attention, it seems like it turns from darkness to day light in just second) but also because it was mechanically a fleeting moment in time for me. Yesterday, as part of the dessert selection for the first barbecue of the season, we had dessert from Love Me Sweet. Love Me Sweet is a growing Japanese-style cheesecake chain that began sometime in the last two years and has now (at the time of posting) three locations in total in Toronto! (Their second location is at Scarborough Town Centre while the third one is at Yonge & Sheppard — I saw it recently when I was there for the Silo 13 #jojoinstameets.) Continue reading

For the first time, I was reporting in one of their biggest rooms that they had even though the number of scheduled number of people was slated to be 4 to 5. Four people showed up in the end. A part of the Chinese heritage includes these thousands of terracotta warriors that were made in the Qin dynasty as part of funerary art for the first Emperor of China to protect him in his afterlife.

On Monday, April 24, 2017, Yelp hosted an invite-only dinner party at Good Catch Boil House for Elite members. Up until this point, I had already been to Good Catch Boil House three times — the first time was to their media event, second visit was with Ken, and third visit was with my mom (second and third visits blogged here). For this week’s photo challenge of “reflecting”, I picked this photo from my visit to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada a couple of weeks ago. You can see the fishies reflected in the bottom of the tank against the light and lots of fishies reflected in each other (as they look the same). As we reflected on the fish swimming in this fish tank, we also reflected on what they were thinking and reflecting inside of their heads. Continue reading
