Petit Potato

Petit Potato omurice

Petit Potato located at 10 Ravel Rd #1-2 in North York

Ever since I was invited to attend the Media Event (and wasn’t able to go) last year, I have wanted to visit Petit Potato for its omurice and towering toast desserts.  I finally had the chance to try it out with Ken this weekend just before we headed to the Evergreen Brickworks for a quick hike and stroll.   Continue reading

Thanks to my foodie friend Grace, I was alerted of this really quaint and nice European style bakery and cafe that offered lunch and dessert items.  She recommend the cakes and pastries to me so when we had some time in the afternoon, my mom and I ventured to the Sha Tin branch of Simply Life to check it out.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ambience

 Toronto Christmas Market 2016

Toronto Christmas Market 2016. December 2016

Thinking of a place with outstanding ambience, there’s no other place that I’ve been to recently that outshines the Distillery District’s Christmas Market back in November to December of last year.  It was my first time the annual Christmas Market that has been growing bigger and bigger each year in Toronto and attracting more and more attendees.   Continue reading

Cross Bridge Noodles at A! Xiang

A! Xiang Hwy 7

A! Xiang located at 505 Highway 7 E, Suite 65 in Markham

My dining experience at A! Xiang was a terrible, terrible one from start to finish.

A! Xiang is a newly opened restaurant in Markham located at the Commerce Gate Plaza at Highway 7 near Commerce Valley Drive West.  A! Xiang takes over the spot where Jyuban Ramen House used to be (that ramen house was also terrible in their service).  A! Xiang serves Yunnan noodles known as “cross bridge noodles” where an assortment of raw ingredients and rice noodles arrive to the table and then are put straight into a steaming bowl of broth to be “cooked” at the table.   Continue reading

Earls Kitchen + Bar (Vaughan)

Earls Kitchen + Bar Vaughan

Earls Kitchen + Bar located at 40 Colossus Dr in Vaughan

After our play time at Dave & Buster’s, we were in search of dinner.  It was prime time Saturday night and all the restaurants around the area were packed.  Despite the hostess informing us of a 20-minute wait, we decided to eat at Earls Kitchen + Bar.  I had previously been to the Earls in Edmonton at the West Edmonton Mall and recalled it with dissatisfaction because my salmon entrée was extremely salty.   Continue reading

Food at Dave & Buster’s

Dave & Buster's Lotsa Loaded Tots

Dave & Buster’s located at 120 Interchange Way in Vaughan

This was my second time to Dave & Buster’s but my first time eating there.  This post is primarily going to be about the singular dish that we ordered from there.  Before we sat down for a dish though, we played various arcade games and watched others play as well.  It was fun to say the least. 😀   Continue reading

Putting Edge in Vaughan

 Putting Edge Vaughan ocean theme

Putting Edge located at 60 Interchange Way in Vaughan

Other than the brief mini golf course that I had played on the Norwegian Getaway cruise last year, I had never been to a mini putt golf course before!  I was really excited to try it out.  Ken and I went to Putting Edge in Vaughan on Saturday and it was a lot of fun.  It was a glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course with 18 holes.   Continue reading
