The sweetie was smart enough to make reservations for a second restaurant for us to lounge at and eat and drink until midnight for the New Year’s Eve countdown. The reservation was booked for 10 p.m. at SOCO Kitchen + Bar and we arrived there to wave good-bye to the last of 2016 and say hello to 2017. Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill located at 33 Yonge St in Toronto
Ken and I celebrated New Year’s Eve with dinner at Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill at their Yonge & Front Street location. Our reservations were booked at 7:30 p.m. and there were a lot of people dining already when we arrived. It was a really nice dimly lit restaurant perfect for dates or large casual gatherings. Kyouka Ramen located at 8384 Woodbine Avenue in Markham
I was really surprised that the former burger shop, Big Jack’s Burger Shop, had closed down and now was taken over by Kyouka Ramen (I really liked that burger joint). Kyouka Ramen, a Japanese ramen house, is located on Woodbine Avenue south of Highway 7. We were here on a Friday afternoon and they opened right at noon. Thus, even though we were here a few minutes before noon, we waited outside before they opened. Continue reading

Before heading to the Science Centre for a day of fun, we enjoyed breakfast at the Golden Griddle at their Leaside location. It was a quiet spot for breakfast on a snowy winter day. Novita Italian Cuisine located at 25 Cochrane Dr in Markham
After a week of being sick and completing last-minute transcript orders before the holidays, I was finally able to emerge and enjoy food at a brand new restaurant! 😀 I had been wanting to try this restaurant with two friends for a holiday dinner but due to me being sick, I wasn’t able to visit Novita Italian Cuisine until later on the weekend at which time Ken and I had a full day of food adventures before arriving at Novita Italian at 7:30 p.m for dinner.
