Dinner at Loka [Defunct]

Bone Marrow Loka

Loka located at 620 Queen Street West

Anh of Hangry Foodies got word that there were going to be some delicious items on the ever-changing menu at the Loka restaurant and since we all wanted to try out the bone marrow and Nova Scotia lobster dishes, right after our dinner at Antler Kitchen & Bar, we went to Loka for a second dinner. 😀   Continue reading

Teara Lab

Weekly Photo Challenge: Jubilant

 feeding llamas in New Zealand

Agrodome in Rotorua, New Zealand. April 2015

It took me a while to find this photo as I wanted to find something generic for this week’s photo challenge of “jubilant”.  I tend to stay away from sharing personal pictures for these weekly photo challenges because I know a lot of people that I don’t know in real life look at them (more so than my regular blogs) and I’d prefer for my personal pictures to remain personal.   Continue reading

SoCIAL LITE Vodka Launch Party

SoCIAL LITE Vodka Launch Party

SoCIAL LITE Vodka Launch Party at The Spoke Club at 600 King St W in Toronto

Yesterday was the SoCIAL LITE Vodka Launch Party at The Spoke Club at 600 King Street West in downtown Toronto.  Arlene Dickinson & The SOCIAL LITE Team had sent me an invitation to this event a few weeks prior and I was quite excited about this event, especially since the request to invite a guest was not granted until close to the week of the event as they had so many guests on the invite list already and weren’t sure if they would be able to accommodate more people at their venue.   Continue reading

After arriving in Trier, Germany in the early morning (what a great sleep that was on the bus), we did some sightseeing at the absolutely gorgeous city of Koblenz and then had lunch at a restaurant near the Rhine River.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day outside and it was a calm mellow morning thus far.   Continue reading

Chef’s Plate: Steak and Miso Salad

Steak and Miso Salad with Avocado, Pineapple, and Wasabi Peas

Steak and Miso Salad with Avocado, Pineapple, and Wasabi Peas

For my last meal from Chef’s Plate this time, I made the Steak and Miso Salad.  This had a difficulty level of Easy and prep time was 25 minutes.

I’ve had a lot of experience cooking meals from Chef’s Plate now and knew exactly what to expect for this meal.  This meal was indeed very simple to make and the instructions were straight-forward.   Continue reading
