Yay! I finally got to try out this place! Pastel Creperie & Dessert House has been on my to-eat-at-list for a while now. We finally had a chance to come here after Jen and I decided that this would be a great place to have desserts after our activity-filled day — we went hiking in Sunnybrook Park and had dinner at Congee Queen.

The three guys were there already when we entered as we were a little late, but we settled in and chose something off the menu. I knew for a fact that I was here for their crepes. They are known for their crepes! It’s their restaurant’s namesake. I chose the Chocolate Crepe that included mascarpone cheese, strawberry, cocoa whipped cream, and French vanilla ice cream. Yum! The Shortcake Crepe also caught my attention but I decided that a classic chocolate crepe would be a great first-try.

Chocolate Crepe. $9.99
-mascarpone cheese, strawberry, cocoa whipped cream, French vanilla ice cream
Wow, I loved it!! The Chocolate Crepe was huge! It was a huge roll that looked even soft to the touch, topped with chocolate sauce and sprinkled with powdered sugar and anchored by a mound of cocoa whipped cream and two round scoops of French vanilla ice cream. Yum! I was ready to dig in after photographing it. 😀
As I sliced my knife into the crepe, I couldn’t believe how soft it was. It was SO soft. The inside was filled with the mascarpone cheese and sliced strawberries. It was divine! I have never had a crepe that was so soft and so well made before! It was truly orgasmic. 😛
The cocoa whipped cream was ridiculously smooth and soft too. It was so perfect together. The French vanilla ice cream was also quite good! Everything was delicious and I finished my Chocolate Crepe very quickly. 🙂
Jen ordered the Chocolate Oreo Parfait (guess we’re both chocolate fans!). It looked incredible and it was quite large! It took her some time to finish it too. I took a bite and liked the Chocolate Oreo ice cream. 🙂
Anthony selected the New York Cheesecake (from the Cheesecake Factory) that was very rich and heavy. One bite told me that it was high-quality cheesecake and the second bite told me that it was quite a lot to finish for one person! It took him quite a while to finish it as well.
All in all, we had a great time chatting here. They have free wifi and the atmosphere is pleasant and casual. The only downside is that they only have one restroom which makes it a little inconvenient if there are more than two people needing to use it. Other than that, I’m so happy that I finally tried this dessert house out and I can understand why it’s so popular and recommended! Definitely try their crepes out! 🙂
OMG, your crepe looks soooooo good!!!!
It was delicious!! 🙂 If you go to any dessert place, this one has to be it.
