Over the Canada Day long weekend, we stayed one night at the Quality Inn in Peterborough, Ontario. This was a very standard, clean, and decent hotel. It had everything that we needed and was typical of a good hotel. Inside our second-storey room (#202), we had a king bed (so comfortable and huge), a loveseat, computer desk, and flat-screen TV. The bathroom was also standard and very clean with towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, and also an iron and iron board in the closet. For such a deal of a hotel stay, it really fulfilled our needs. There was free wireless high speed Internet and free breakfast too! Oh, and I was super pleasantly surprised to see a microwave in our room too! There was also a bigger than normal mini fridge too. There were ample plastic clear cups for use in the room as well.
In the morning, we went down for breakfast in the dining room and small kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people there too. It reminded me of the breakfast at Comfort Inn & Suites in Blue Mountain. The breakfast was also a standard continental one with hot water, coffee, juice, a waffle maker, cereal, oatmeal, and hot items like bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage patty, and also cheese omelets too. I was quite impressed. There were also fresh fruits on the counter and yogurt and hard-boiled eggs in the fridge. I liked the scrambled egg and sausages. 😀 There were two flavours of waffle batter — blueberry and regular. 😀
The check-in and check-out process were smooth and straight-forward. The staff were pleasant. I liked how the hotel provided complimentary coffee in the lobby too for travellers as they headed on their way home. It was so considerate!
Quality Inn indeed is a quality hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in again. Most importantly, their rooms are big, clean, and has everything you need. 🙂 The sleep was restful and no loud noises either.
