Golden Horse Restaurant located at 1480 Major Mackenzie Drive East Unit C7-C8 in Richmond Hill

June 7, 2018:  I had been to this restaurant once prior so now that it’s my second visit, it’s definitely time for a blog post! ;D  Golden Horse Restaurant (澳門街) has a first location in Markham (blogged about here).  This second location at the Leslie Centre at Major Mac and Lesile in Richmond Hill replaces a previous Keung Kee/HK style cafe restaurant.

Golden Horse Restaurant is a Hong Kong style cafe with the typical breakfast specials and afternoon tea time specials (the best value item there is) with a particular focus on Macau dishes.  On this visit, we ordered the House Special Baked Pork Chop with Rice and the Crab Stick and Shredded Chicken in Cream Sauce.

Actually, we had intended to order something else (another pork chop dish that was apparently very tasty here) but we mistakenly ordered the House Special one instead.  Oh, well.

Thus, it turned out that both dishes that we got were extremely saucy.  I enjoyed the Crab Stick and Shredded Chicken with Cream Sauce dish.

I didn’t try the House Special Baked Pork Chop with Rice at all since it contained tomato sauce and I was trying to avoid eating tomatoes at the time.
