Wedding planning tips to ease the stress

Here’s what I learned about wedding planning so far (about 2 months after we got engaged):

– KISS: keep it simple, silly.  Don’t stray from one idea or one brand to another when someone gives you a supposedly “better” idea.  Stick to your guns about what you want and don’t be easily swayed by others (sometimes saving Continue reading

 Train from Pisa to Florence

One-hour train ride from Pisa to Florence!

Saturday, September 9, 2018.  Day 6:

Today we checked out of Hotel La Pace and had a breakfast at Cofer Bar before taking the train to Florence.  We had a simple mozzarella and tomato panini but it was not so simple because it was delicious.  The staff heated it up for us so that the panini bread was crispy and Continue reading

Stroganoff Restaurant in Richmond Hill

Stroganoff Restaurant food

Stroganoff Restaurant located at 10 Headdon Gate in Richmond Hill

November 30, 2018:  Yay!  We finally got to try this restaurant out!  We came to this restaurant, Stroganoff Restaurant, a few weeks ago on a Sunday during the Remembrance Day weekend where it just so happened that many restaurants in the area were all closed.  When we walked in on that day, despite seeing unoccupied tables inside Stroganoff Restaurant, we were turned down because their tables were already all Continue reading

September 8, 2018:  For dinner that night, we searched up a local restaurant called Trattoria Diladdarno.  It was a cozy restaurant and we chose to sit in the outdoor garden patio underneath the stars.  It was so nice.

This place was warm and welcoming and we got a seat while our outdoor table was being ready for us.   Continue reading

Japanese BBQ at Goen Yakiniku

November 28, 2018:

I saw this Japanese bbq place from my Instagram foodie friends and we decided to check this place out for our annual holiday dinner.

I called ahead of time to book a table for three. Initially, the original Mandarin-speaking person who picked up my call seemed to have trouble understanding English, so a second person was asked to take down my details instead. Continue reading

In the past 10 days or so, Continue reading

First Deposition!

I did my first deposition yesterday!  It was also the first time that both counsels appeared via video conference and so only the witness was in the room with me.  Imagine if the witness was there of a heinous crime, that would have been a potentially petrifying session for me!  Luckily, the witness wasn’t and the session went so smoothly.  Usually, I’m always apprehensive of video conferencing because the audio quality is incredibly poor Continue reading
