The Food Forest located at 135 Hunter St W in Peterborough
I was really glad that we were able to check this restaurant in Peterborough out! I really enjoy dining at unique and one-of-a-kind restaurants and The Food Forest definitely lives up to it. Moreover, this restaurant is a vegan restaurant that is completely plant-based and gluten-free. It’s important to balance our diets with clean eating and The Food Forest is Continue reading
Harbourfront, Toronto. July 2017
Last weekend, as part of the Canada Day 150th birthday celebrations on July 1, 2017, the word’s biggest rubber duck made an appearance at the HTO Park near Harbourfront in downtown Toronto. When the boyfriend and I strolled along the harbour in order to get to Continue reading
Kettle Drums located at 224 Hunter St W in Peterborough
Soon after arriving in the small city of Peterborough, we set out for a late lunch. We surveyed Google Maps for a reputable and popular restaurant and Kettle Drums was on the top of the list. The photos of the food looked good too so we went for it.
Unlike many of the restaurants in downtown Peterborough that Continue reading
Fugo Desserts located at 205 Dundas St W in Toronto
A year after its debut, I finally tried the ice cream from Fugo! (I had stepped into this store and passed by it when it opened but was either too full from other sweet desserts or wasn’t in the mood for trying it at the time.) The Cookie Monster Ice Cream from Fugo came to fame a year ago when the blue-dyed cookies and cream ice cream made Continue reading
Rudy Restaurant located at 619 College St in Toronto
After gawking with the giant rubber non-quacking duck (:D), we headed towards Little Italy for a taste of burgers! I had seen the burgers from Rudy advertised on Instagram and many foodies had stated that it was a hit burger. Since it was Canada Day, Rudy was actually given out free burgers Continue reading
CANO Restaurant is located at 1108A St Clair Ave W in Toronto
This past Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending another DKLoEvents for a media tasting at CANO Restaurant. This is an Italian restaurant (with Mediterranean influences) that is located in the west-mid-side area of Toronto. Its major intersection is St. Clair Avenue West and Dufferin Street (St. Clair West Subway Station is the Continue reading
Hotmess Tex Mex
This past Tuesday, there was a jojoinstameets media tasting at Hotmess Tex Mex. If it weren’t for jojoinstameets, I would not have known about this neat little Tex Mex restaurant! Hotmess Tex Mex resides on Queen Street West where there are a number of notable eats already; it seems like Queen Street West (Little Italy) is becoming quite the food scene for Continue reading
Nana Restaurant located at 785 Queen St W in Toronto
Last Saturday, after an amazing tasting at Dazzling Café, I headed downtown for a long-awaited dinner with some friends. (We had been trying to schedule this dinner for a long time and due to postponements and delays, we finally were able to meet up!) Nana is a Thai restaurant that I’ve heard about for about two years when I Continue reading
Markham, Ontario. June 2017
Who is suggesting these challenges for the weekly photo challenges!? They’re rather uninspired and repetitive. Last week we already had a similar theme. I would love to see different and varied themes like “run”, “tiny”, “soft” or something very specific and see what everyone comes up with and not these Continue reading
Dazzling Café located at 37 Sheppard Ave E in North York
I feel so grateful and lucky to be able to attend so many media tastings lately. 😀 This recent one that I attended on the weekend was to Dazzling Café, a popular Taiwanese café that has grown to over 200 locations worldwide! Dazzling Café recently opened at Sheppard and Yonge in North York and I was really Continue reading
