Greenwich, New York. April 2017
This is a collage of multiple artworks of cheeses that we saw on our trip to New York earlier this year! đ Â We couldn’t resist the silly yet creative puns for each of these cheese emoji stickers! We even downloaded the app to attempt to use it in our online conversations but unfortunately the stickers are actually just images as opposed to real emojis Continue reading
T.W.’s Bar & Grill located at Delta Toronto East Hotel at 2035 Kennedy Road in Scarborough
While we were in the middle of looking through the LEGO creations at the LEGO Fan Event, the babe was getting hungry so we headed to the restaurant that was inside the hotel where the LEGO Event was. Â T.W.’s Bar & Grill serves bar food in a really comfortable bar and lounge-like environment.
Since the staff must be used to serving tourists and out-of-town visitors from the hotel, Continue reading
BrickfĂȘte 2017 located at Delta Toronto East 2035 Kennedy Rd in Toronto
This past Saturday, I went to my first ever LEGO Fan Event – BrickfĂȘte 2017 event!  Thanks to Facebook, we were alerted to this LEGO fan event and made time to attend.  The event lasted two days from Saturday, July 8 to Sunday, July 9, 2017.  It was held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that the closing time was 3 p.m. until we got there and thus couldn’t Continue reading
Cafe Belong located at 550 Bayview Ave in Toronto
After a nice hike in the paths at the Evergreen Brick Works on a hot and humid day, the three of us went for lunch at Cafe Belong! Â Cafe Belong is the only restaurant on site at the Evergreen Brick Works and I was so excited to try it out with Cyn.
The environment and design of Cafe Belong were Continue reading
Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant located at 230 Commerce Valley Dr E #2 in Thornhill
“It’s all about the new patio!” Â That’s what we were told when we were invited to Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant last Thursday for a media tasting. Â This was part of a dual event that DKLoEvents hosted for us (the first part was next door at It’s a Bao Time — blogged here). Â đ
I had been to Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant before.  I had been here for dinner with two friends back in Continue reading
It’s a Bao Time located at 230 Commerce Valley Drive East Unit 2A in Thornhill
Thanks to DKLoEvents who was hosting a dual event this week, I got the opportunity to taste the food from It’s a Bao Time! :9 Â (I’ve always wanted to try this bao restaurant too!)
(Although DKLoEvents was the host of this dual event, we did pay $15 per person for all the food provided.)
It’s a Bao Time features “baos”, a steamed Chinese rice bun that originated from and is popular in Asia.  It can be a full meal by eating it no frills or you can sandwich it with various ingredients to make it a fulfilling one.  Here at Continue reading
Event held on The Tall Ship Kajama at 235 Queens Quay W in Toronto
What a fun and creative way to launch brand new menu items! Â The Captain’s Boil came to fame in the fall of 2015 when their very first restaurant opened in North York. Â Since then, they have opened a sum of ten restaurants (and growing) in the Greater Toronto Area and expanding all across Canada. Â I love their seafood boil meals; it’s all so finger-licking good! ^_^ Â Continue reading
True True Pizza located at 456 Queen St W in Toronto
True True Pizza just opened their newest location on the ever popular Queen Street West near Augusta Avenue (456 Queen St W) in Toronto! Â The very first time that I tried a bite of True True Pizza was a year ago at the Union Summer Food Market with Grace when she had ordered their Artisan Pizza. Â I remember how thin the crust was and that I Continue reading
Quality Inn Peterborough located at 1074 Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough
Over the Canada Day long weekend, we stayed one night at the Quality Inn in Peterborough, Ontario.  This was a very standard, clean, and decent hotel.  It had everything that we needed and was typical of a good hotel.  Inside our second-storey room (#202), we had a king bed (so comfortable and huge), a loveseat, computer desk, and flat-screen TV Continue reading
The Food Forest located at 135 Hunter St W in Peterborough
I was really glad that we were able to check this restaurant in Peterborough out! Â I really enjoy dining at unique and one-of-a-kind restaurants and The Food Forest definitely lives up to it. Â Moreover, this restaurant is a vegan restaurant that is completely plant-based and gluten-free. Â It’s important to balance our diets with clean eating and The Food Forest is Continue reading
