Thursday, April 21, 2016. Day 9 flying home.
This morning, had to actually wake up half an hour earlier than usual (we had been waking up to breakfast at 7 a.m. every day on the tour) at 6:30 a.m. to eat breakfast and to go directly to the airport (Charles de Gaulle).
Check-in was at 8 a.m. sharp so we were the very first ones in line. Continue reading

We arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport early ready to board our flight back home. After we proceeded through customs and x-rays, I saw that there were many boutiques and souvenir shops. Typical of Paris, France, there was also a Ladurée shop! Even though I had tried my first French macarons from there already, I still wandered into the shop to peek around. 🙂 Across from it though, there was a La Maison du Chocolat that also had displays of chocolate and macarons! What an absolutely amazing last day in Paris!!! This trip has been so fantastic and fun and adventurous that I cannot help but be 100% thankful and grateful for every little moment. I’m so blessed ^_^.

For our final meal in Paris, France before we flew out the next day, we dined at a truly authentic French restaurant called La Place, on recommendation from the tour guide.
We quickly went in since our free time for dinner was limited (we had a guided city tour scheduled later that night around the city). La Place had a dining lounge both inside and outside where their glassed-in outdoor patio was divided into a smoking and non-smoking section. Continue reading

On our last full day in Paris, we visited the Arc de Triomphe. A visit to this famous monument wouldn’t be complete without a jumping photo. What made it even more fun was that we all did it together and the tour guide joined in too! It was the last full day in France for us! We had lunch in a Chinese canteen-style (fast casual) restaurant called Traiteur Saveur d’Asie where you could pick which dishes you wanted and they were priced per 100 grams or per piece. We chose several dishes plus noodles and rice to share together. Continue reading

August 2016 cleanup at Cherry Beach located at 1 Cherry Street in Toronto
It’s that time of the year again! Another chance to clean up the Canadian shoreline! 🙂 Cleanups should be done regularly throughout the year so that there is less litter buildup and so that we can ensure that the wildlife doesn’t ingest any when mistaking it for garbage as well as preventing as much of it as we can from entering our waterways… but I digress. 😛 Continue reading
