April 24, 2019:  This was my favourite meal from the entire recent Chefs Plate order!  This was a Baked Beef & Cheese meatloaf with Baby Arugula tossed in a Pesto Vinaigrette.  Described as an “elevated classic,” the homestyle beef meatloaf was baked with a gooey cheese topping and paired with a fresh arugula salad.  A basil pesto vinaigrette was then drizzled over the crispy potatoes and meatloaf.  Continue reading →

April 27, 2019:  After cleaning up the Don and freshening up at home, we went to Katz’s Deli & Corned Beef Emporium, established in 1970, to get a first and final taste of their famed sandwiches before they are set to close on May 31 of this year.  They are closing to make way for the future development of Dufferin Street.

Katz’s Deli & Corned Beef Emporium has been serving up deli sandwiches like corned beef and pastrami for nearly 50 years.  They are located in North York on Dufferin Street near Highway 401. Continue reading →

April 27, 2019:  I love cleanups.  There’s nothing else that will get me out in the fresh air and grassy areas or cement roads or whatever it is with a trusty trash picker, plastic gloves, and a bag to clean out everything that does not belong in nature.  Although I have done cleanups of my own in the past, there’s just nothing like cleaning up with a group of individuals with the same passion and intent.  It’s much easier to join a clean-up, especially a large clean-up of this scale, when Continue reading →
