Dreamers’ Cafe located at 2 Queen St in Port Hope
March 17, 2018: I had been to Dreamers’ Cafe in Port Hope once before on the last visit I was here when I was watching the salmon migration in the fall. Primitive Designs located at 2762 Northumberland County Rd 28 in Port Hope
March 17, 2018: Primitive Designs is a retail and gift shop filled with some of the most unique and exotic antiques, furnishings, and art pieces I’ve ever seen. It’s located in Port Hope and is one of the top tourist attractions in this small town.
We arrived here around 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon on a Saturday to check it out. They had a gigantic Transformers robot outside the shop. It was so impressive that even my SO exclaimed a loud “Wow!” immediately upon us driving onto the lot. Haute Goat located at 1166 5th line, Newtonville
March 17, 2018: Haute Goat is a tourist attraction in Newtonville, Ontario (just outside of Port Hope) where there is a 200-acre farm for alpacas, Nigerian Dwarf goats, and Icelandic horses. The most special and visit-worthy thing about Haute Goat is their “goat shmurgle” where you get to walk with goats, feed them, and get right up and personal with them to hug them. Attending Maple Syrup Day at the Ganaraska Forest Centre in 10585 Cold Springs Camp Rd, Port Hope
March 17, 2018 was Maple Syrup Day in Port Hope at the Ganaraska Forest Centre! It was my first time attending such an event and I was looking forward to seeing what was in store for us. This was an absolutely made-for family friendly activity for the kids, and especially so as it was the last weekend for March Break.
Ganaraska Forest Centre is located about 30 minutes north of Downtown Port Hope in Ontario (10585 Cold Springs Camp Rd). The Municipality of Port Hope had already reserved tickets for us. Blogging milestone
It’s not every day that you get to wish your blog a fifth birthday. 😀 I still remember when I had come back from my Asia trip in 2013 and instantly wanted to start a blog to chronicle my travel adventures and steno stories. Since then, I’ve added so many food and restaurant reviews to this blog in addition to the travel and steno stories (actually most of my steno stories are private now due to privacy concerns and to my capacity as a working stenographer).
