Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery

Located at 93B Ossington Avenue in Toronto

After a night of feasting at this May’s TUM, Toronto Underground Market, my friends and I headed towards Koreatown for some more food (for some of us) and also towards transit for home.  Along the way, on Ossington, we noticed a dessert shop that was buzzing with people.  Despite eating a lot of food at TUM, we didn’t have any dessert, and this Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery hit the spot perfectly.   Continue reading

Amazing last weekend of May 2014!

Fun in the sun all weekend long!

I’m not sure how many of you know, but I currently have a huge backlog of blog posts to publish (I’m talking about at least 14 posts in the works).  This is a good thing!  It’s good stress!  I like to publish one new blog post per day and even though I have a lot of food reviews/food blogs to write, I’m just going to take today’s blog to talk briefly about this past weekend’s amazing activities (thereby pushing back the scheduled posts one day further [lol])!   Continue reading

Prince BBQ at Market Village

Located in Market Village in Markham

Prince BBQ is by no means a restaurant but it is one of the vendors in the food court at Market Village.  Why am I blogging about a food court shop?  Because Prince BBQ serves really good BBQ meats and noodle soups!

Every so often, when I prefer to eat something that is quick and delicious (and cheap), Prince BBQ delivers exactly what I want.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-Second Story

U of T, Toronto.  June 2012

This week’s photo challenge captures a “candid moment of a person, place, or thing by telling a story by documenting a moment in time through a single image”.  I think this picture speaks for itself.  I was finally graduating university!!!  Six years of hard work and 2 degrees later, I was done.   Continue reading

My Allergies are Cured!

I used to avoid these like the plague. Now I can walk up to them without a care in the world!

I started having allergies when I was around 11 years old in grade 6.  Even though I had been in Canada for around seven years by that time, all of a sudden, I noticed that one day I started feeling sick and like I had a runny nose.  The sneezing and runny nose persisted for a couple a days until I realized it wasn’t just a typical cold that I was experiencing — I was actually allergic to the springtime pollen and grass that was in the air!   Continue reading

Vic Hong Vietnamese B.B.Q. House

Located at 1070 Major Mackenzie Drive East Unit# H5 in Richmond Hill

I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was at this restaurant!  I haven’t been to a Vietnamese restaurant for food lately and I was craving some pho on this particular day.  My mom and I ventured to Bayview and Major Mac to try Vic Hong Vietnamese B.B.Q. House out.  Within this mall area, there are also restaurants like Bombay’s Chutney, Thai Basil, and Bayview Court (delicious!).   Continue reading

Congee Time

Located at 5817 Yonge Street in North York

My mom and I had a late lunch at Congee Time sometime last week after I was done my half day of court reporting.  Yayyyy!  I love not having to work the full day and getting time to spend with my mom.  Shouldn’t life be like that every day?

In any case, I’ve never been to this Congee Time before.  I believe that they copied the more popular Chinese congee establishments like Congee Wong and Congee Queen.   Continue reading

Let me show you what I can do when I put my mind to it!

Haters are those people who doubt you, push you down, and don’t think that you can do something.  Last week, I found out that one of my beloved charity organizations was hosting their annual event!  ORBIS, an organization dedicated to helping eliminate childhood preventable blindness in developing countries that also has a fully equipped “flying eye hospital”, was hosting their 6th Annual Plane Pull!   Continue reading

My First Time to the Toronto Underground Market (TUM)!

Foods from May TUM!

TUM!  What does that word mean to you?  Does it make you think of ‘tummy’ as in your stomach?  ‘Tums’ as in the little pills that help you with heartburn after a heavy meal?  In Toronto, “TUM” means a foodie event called the Toronto Underground Market that occurs every couple of months in Toronto!   Continue reading
