Weekly Photo Challenge: Dance

Outside of the Dancing Water Theater, Macau. January 2012

The House of Dancing Water was one of the best live shows I have ever seen.  It had tremendous acrobatics, theatrics, the best stage set and choreography, and of course, dancing.  It was a mesmerizing experience and seriously the only show I recommend anyone to watch if you only had to choose one to watch in your lifetime.   Continue reading

Toronto Trillium Lions Sandwich Package to the Homeless

Sandwich Distribution with the Toronto Trillium Lions in Toronto on March 13, 2016

Volunteering!  I haven’t done it in a while and it sure feels good to be able to help another being out again! 🙂

This past weekend on a rather chilly Sunday in mid-March, I gathered together with the Toronto Trillium Lions Club to package together sandwiches to give out to the homeless (needy) in downtown Toronto.   Continue reading

Norwegian Getaway Cruise 2016 ~ Day 2 Dinner in Tropicana Room

Just a few of the desserts at our dinner in the Tropicana Room

Our second night of dinner on the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship was the same as the first night in the sense that we ate at the Tropicana Room.  (The dinner menu on the cruise changes every night.)  We were lucky enough on this night to get almost all of our group inside one of the private rooms to the side and sat at two tables.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: One Love

Woodbine Subway Station, Toronto. July 2009

This week’s photo challenge is “one love“.  Whenever I see funny or cute graffiti in public places, I know that someone somewhere out there is being amusing and playful.  It gives me a sense of a human touch from a random spot that you wouldn’t expect (or shouldn’t expect since most graffiti is frowned upon — at least the ugly ones) which brings a smile to my face which ultimately comes from a place of love.   Continue reading

Vegetable-focused Dinner at Dandylion

Dandylion located at 1198 Queen Street West in Toronto

According to Google, Dandylion is a “rustic-industrial spot [that] serves Eclectic fare that marries unusual Asian and European flavours”.  I wasn’t sure what to expect from this restaurant that has a demanding reservation list located on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto.  We booked our table for six people way back in January of this year (that’s almost three months in advance!).   Continue reading

Snakes & Lattes (Bathurst & College)

Snakes & Lattes located at 489 College Street in Toronto

The first time that I went to the first Snakes & Lattes on Bloor Street many years ago was on a Valentine’s Day with a date.  Since then, I have returned to that board game cafe and also blogged about it too!  Snakes & Lattes now has a second location at Bathurst and College which was where I went to recently to play some board games with some friends.   Continue reading
