I had the pleasure to be invited to the 3rd Annual Coconut Festival & Marketplace this year by Mark to sample various foods and products from this popular coconut festival.

Sushi Burritos at Rolltation!

Yay! I finally got to experience the sushi burrito craze! The first sushi burrito I saw floating around the social media channels online was a sushi burrito outside of Canada. (Yes, it is a cross between a sushi roll and a burrito. Beautifying Markham, one bag at a time

I’ve been inspired again to pick up litter around my neighbourhood after attending another annual Canadian Shoreline Cleanup with the Trillium Lions recently– you can view the blog post here. I have always loved picking up trash… it might sound weird to you but it is a challenge to me to try to find all of the litter when walking around, a goal to be able to pick up as much garbage as I can find, and it’s fun (for me). Cho Sun Ok

The first time I dined at Cho Sun Ok was many, many years ago. This was before they had renovated and still had an open space restaurant (and also before this blog existed!). During that first visit, I had tried their cold noodles (which were very well known at Cho Sun Ok and recommended to me by a friend) and I had found the dish to be quite ordinary and it didn’t really appeal to me. Fast forward to today though, I really wanted to return back to Cho Sun Ok to try these cold noodles again to refresh my impression of the restaurant. Continue reading →
