Wild Wing (Yonge & Finch)

Located at 5505 Yonge St in Toronto

It’s so ironic that right after we hosted and attended a Health and Wellness 101 Presentation that we headed straight bee-lined to our nearest Wild Wing for what else?  Baskets upon baskets of fried chicken wings.  Whee!!

The eleven of us who wanted wings ordered the Cowboy option which included 10 flavours of wingsContinue reading

Sansotei Ramen

Located at 179 Dundas St West in Toronto

After our Da Vinci Code room game play at EscapeZone, we went for ramen!  It was definitely the best choice of food on a chilly -19 C degree day.  We decided on Sansotei Ramen on Dundas near Bay.

Sansotei is so popular that you almost always have to line up for a table.  It also doesn’t help that it’s quite small inside with only a long row of tables.  Continue reading

Celebrating KAM 2015 at Citro Italian Restaurant

Located at 10123 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill

I’ve been wanting to go to this restaurant since last year.  Urbanspoon reports it to be one of the best rated Italian restaurants around the Richmond Hill area (currently at 95% at the time of writing) so I thought it was an excellent choice to go to for our annual KAM dinner this year.  (Last year, the three of us were only available to meet on a Sunday, on which Citro is closed, so we settled for Ferrovia Ristorante instead).   Continue reading

Montana’s BBQ & Bar (Richmond Hill)

Montana's BBQ & Bar food

Montana’s BBQ & Bar located at 8735 Yonge St in Richmond Hill

After watching “Into the Woods”, Tracy and I ventured over to Montana’s BBQ & Bar for a yummy dinner.  The restaurant was packed inside on a Friday night and there were actually many celebrations dinners going on — over the course of our stay, we heard four birthday songs sung by the staff to the birthday boys and girls. Weekly Photo Challenge: Depth

LSUC, Toronto. January 2015

Earlier this week, when I was working in court for a seemingly endless job where the chairman seemed to like to ask for readbacks, I snapped this photo when I was out during the morning break.  At the time of taking it, I already knew that this would be justifiable for a future WPC theme, and here it is! 🙂   Continue reading

OJA Restaurant, Korean and Japanese cuisine

Located at 689 Yonge St in Toronto

I’ve been to this restaurant countless times before!  This is an old favourite of mine that resides around the Yonge and Bloor intersection area.  OJA Restaurant serves a mixture of Japanese and Korean food.  I’ve been here for lunch, dinner, and also late night dinner as well.  These were the days where I used to work across the street at CCVS teaching court reporting. ^_^   Continue reading

Hana-Bi Sushi

Located at 3255 Highway 7 East, Unit 28

I’ve been to Hanabi Sushi at First Markham Place many times before.  Their sushi is fresh and their sushi rolls are well made!  It’s been a while since I had Japanese sushi so I was excited and happy to dine here.   Continue reading

Playing Omescape!

Located at 7501 Woodbine Avenue, Unit #7

Escape games are so addicting and fun!  After Rosa and Anna told us about this new escape place that was opening up in Markham and also hearing Mel talk about Omescape (located in Markham at Woodbine and Esna Park), I knew I wanted to try it out for sure.  Mel is an expert at escape games, playing one almost every weekend with her boyfriend, and highly recommended this one after hearing that I loved the high tech elements from Xscaper Arts.   Continue reading

Pho Xe Lua (Kensington Market)

Located at 254 Spadina Ave in Toronto

After we played an intense game of Trapped in a Room with a Zombie, we headed for food!  We settled on Pho Xe Lua which is a popular and almost ubiquitous restaurant chain that serves pho and Vietnamese dishes (it has that train logo).  However, although they’re very popular, I doubt that they are actually authentically Vietnamese.   Continue reading
