Weekly Photo Challenge: Letters

my steno machine that I use to type with : )

Instead of showing you a picture of letters, whether of how the alphabet can be rendered in different shapes, fonts, or sizes, or of physical letters that you send through snail mail, let me show you how I “type” out letters on an everyday basis:  I use my stenograph!

Dim Sum at Paramount Chinese Cuisine (take two)

Located at 550 Highway 7 East, Building E, 2nd Floor in Richmond Hill

Back in October, I bought this Groupon deal for $15 of $25 worth of food at Paramount Chinese Cuisine & Banquet Hall.  I recently blogged about this restaurant when I dined here with family for dim sum.  Here are some more food pictures of what we ate when we dined here this time!

Sea Urchin Shooters & Stone Grilled Beef at Kingyo Izakaya!

My very first sea urchin shooter! ^_^

This past long weekend was an amazing long foodie adventure.  It started off with some raw food, speeding on Segways, and having Mexican brunch.  At night time, a fellow foodie friend and I went to Kingyo Izakaya on a journey to keep the taste buds dancing.

I’ve had my eye on Kingyo Izakaya for a while!   Continue reading →

A Mexican Brunch at El Catrin Destileria

Located at 18 Tank House Lane in Toronto

After some (and I’m putting major emphasis on the word) light activity on the Segways, my three amigos and I headed for some brunch in the Distillery District!  It was a beautiful spring day and we strolled along the cobbled bricks to see what was down the lane to find a brunch spot.

I didn’t recognize the name of El Catrin Destileria until later that night when I hopped on urbanspoon to “like” this restaurant.   Continue reading →

Riding a Segway around the Distillery District!!

Segway Tour in the Distillery District in Toronto!

The first time I saw a Segway in person was last summer when I was in Nashville.  Cynthia and I were heading to the Grand Ole Opry and passing through the Opry Mills mall when I noticed a “mall cop” on a Segway.  I was so amused!  I’d only seen a Segway before in movies and didn’t know that mall cops actually existed.   Continue reading →

Rawlicious!

Vegan and gluten-free choices!

I made the mistake of venturing to Main Street Unionville instead of Main Street North when meeting up with Steph for dinner at Rawlicious.  Don’t make the same mistake that I did!

Rawlicious has a number of branches located all across Ontario.   Continue reading →

Data Recovery

That’s it.  I admit defeat.  After 7-8 attempts at trying to restore the photos that I “lost” from the third and fourth day of my cruise, I’m done trying — I need to use my SD card again for more food and fun adventures this weekend, so I’m quietly saying good-bye to those 100ish photos that I will never see again.  RIP photos.   Continue reading →

Weekly Photo Challenge: On Top

CN Tower, Toronto.  August 2011

On Top of the world’s 6th tallest free-standing structure, the CN Tower!

This was after my friend Rachel and I walked around the edge of the CN Tower for EdgeWalk (walking 356m or 1,168ft above ground)!  Continue reading →

Snow in April! Second year in a row!

Light dusting of snow on April 15, 2014

Some of you are going to hate this post, but it doesn’t matter because it’s all in your perspective and how you want to handle the “curveballs” that life throws you.

This morning, many Torontonians woke up to a white and wintry view outside their windows.  “Where’s my spring?!” Continue reading →

Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument

The Carnival Glory and the Ruby Princess parked right beside each other at the port; looks like two monuments to me!
April 2014

Upon disembarking from the cruise to an excursion in Mexico on my Caribbean cruise this past week (that’s why there’s been no new posts for the past couple of days — sorry, guys, I know that some of you had been checking back for new ones, but I’m back now!) and heading back to our Ruby Princess cruise ship, I saw this view!   Continue reading →
