The first time I heard of Yakitori Kintori was when I received a twitter invite from them! From their description, I noticed that they are the same creators as Guu. That meant NEW RESTAURANT in Toronto!! Woohoo! This was back in February. Since its opening, I’ve noticed other friends checking in and also blogger reviews on urbanspoon. Continue reading
My Dreamboard!
Or more specifically, as quoted by Harvey MacKay,
“A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline.”
If you don’t set out to do what you dream of, how can it be realized and achieved? Similarly, if you don’t have dreams, what are you aiming for in this lifetime? Continue reading
Thai Style Tom Yum Soup with Seafood and Rice Noodle
I’ve seen on urbanspoon that Blue Ocean Cafe has some great reviews and had placed it on my wishlist to try out sometime. It just so happened that I was at Peachtree Centre looking for a place to eat and saw the restaurant. Yay! Maybe I was biased from the online reviews that this restaurant would be good, but I was already impressed when I walked in. Continue reading

Mmmm Shanghainese food is comfort food to me! 🙂 The last time I was in this plaza by Yonge Street and Glen Cameron Road in Thornhill, I noticed that there was a Shanghai restaurant among the primarily Korean restaurant dominated plaza. It’s the same plaza that the Home of Hot Taste and Piggy’s Restaurant is in. This restaurant used to be called Shanghai Xue Yuan but is now rebranded as Tian Xin Place. Continue reading

Picture taken the first time I passed by and wanted to go in, but there was a wait time of 1 hour!
Khao San Road! Not only is it a famed street in Thailand, but when you say these three words to foodies in Toronto, they will immediately know that it is a very popular Thai restaurant in downtown Toronto!
The very first time I wanted to try this restaurant, I was with Holly and Joyce after we had finished one sweaty workout session at Flirty Girl Fitness. Continue reading
Good old Milliken days
Hmm, what an interesting topic for this week’s photo challenge! Threshold: The moment before something exciting happens like a door opening or a flower about to bloom. Well, here’s my interpretation of it! What do you think? ^_^
This picture shows one of the last days of high school with my two close friends and I. Continue reading

My friend Grace and I finally had some quality catch-up time the day before my detox started. We ate lunch at a frequently seen — Oshio Restaurant — but rarely visited Japanese restaurant. The reason I say that is because I’ve passed by this plaza at Steeles and Don Mills plenty of times but never chanced to go in and try their food. Continue reading

Before my detox last week, I ate at this yummy restaurant! Bayview Court is an absolute favourite restaurant of mine that began in my early elementary school days. When I first blogged about it here, I mentioned that they used to reside in the Peachtree Centre in Markham. Continue reading
A room full of court reporters!!
I haven’t written anything on the topic of steno lately! Here goes. Tonight was Court Reporter Appreciation Night at my court reporting agency. It was all about networking, seeing all my court reporter friends and colleagues again, snacking on some hors d’oeuvres, learning about some new technology that can help us deliver better reporting services, and learning how to brand ourselves as better reporters. Continue reading
Essentially, I started my retox last night when a bunch of my friends and I went to City Hollywood Cafe for some wings and fries! Today is the first day of the month in the lunar calendar so my mom and I went out for some vegetarian food. Isn’t it funny that I just finished a week of detox eating all veggie food and I voluntarily chose to eat at a vegetarian restaurant today? You would think that I would want to immediately run out and eat lots of grains and meat products instead. Continue reading
