Day 6. Thankful.
Today was a really good day. 🙂 i was being stupid yesterday in my comments.
We visited some core tourist destinations and historical places of China today. First thing off the list, we went to Tiananmen Square. It was very crowded and sunny today. Continue reading
Today was so-so. To be honest, i’m looking forward to home already. Today wasn’t that fun.
First of all, we were turned down by Tsinghua University. Our tour bus had driven up to their gates and they wouldn’t let us into the campus (schools in China are very particular about security and thus will not let in non-registered visitors). Continue reading

Every so often, I like to visit City Hollywood Cafe which is situated on the outside mall strip of Market Village in Markham. This popular spot for having all-day breakfast, afternoon tea, happy hour, lunch, dinner, or whatever else is frequently populated by Asian families, youths, and the elderly. Finally, after 4 full days of not sleeping in a full bed, no TV, sofa, dining table, computer desks, and your usual home furnishings, we’re moving!! It’s been such a stressful and difficult 14 or so days of packing up the last 18 years of my life into boxes or straight into the trash. It’s natural to want to put things away for ‘later’ as we’re all (most of us at least) natural hoarders and want to save everything. Continue reading
The first time I went to Kinton Ramen was one year ago in the summertime. Â I remember that it was a Friday night, and despite the claims that you usually have to wait up to 30 minutes for a table, my friend and I were seated within 2 minutes of walking in. Â Continue reading
Last night I attended the Canadian National Exhibition, CNE for short, with 4 other friends in search for the weirdest and wackiest food creations. CNE is an annual end-of-summer fair that is half carnival and half food fest. Actually, it’s more like an exhibition grounds for your typical carnival rides and games, a petting zoo, arts and crafts shows, various performances, and more. Continue reading
Or at least half moving day. Getting rid of/moving out more than half the furniture in our house. Around 2 weeks to go before absolutely everything is moved out of our house. I’m superrrrrrr excited. Can’t wait until everything is done !
=)
I tried teppanyaki for the first time yesterday! Â It was kind of unexpected since my friend brought me there for lunch after some errands. Â I wasn’t complaining since I’ve always wanted to try this type of food. Â It’s basically a Japanese cuisine where you and your party sit in front of the grill and a chef will flame/grill all of your food right in front of you. Â It’s a show and a meal! Â Continue reading
