Cafe Bon Bon located at 550 Hwy 7, Unit #90 in Richmond Hill
May 19, 2018: As the trend of Japanese fluffy pancakes hits the Toronto area this year, I saw that Cafe Bon Bon was another restaurant that served the fluffy soufflé pancakes and so I wanted to try them out for myself too. (The only other cafe that I’ve had these fluffy pancakes from thus far Continue reading
Dreamt that R wrote a blog post and it had a weekly photo challenge again! I clicked into it to see because I thought I had missed something but apparently it was just another blogger starting up the challenge and he participated in it. It wasn’t the official one. Continue reading
Lisa Marie located at 638 Queen St W in Toronto
May 13, 2018: It’s not often that I find myself to brunch downtown since it’s not the most convenient to get to on a weekend morning, but having brunch at Lisa Marie after just finished the Sporting Life 10 K run was just a no-brainer. Even as we passed by other restaurants in the city, we noticed other participants who were wearing the neon green T-shirt signifying that Continue reading
My second time participating in the Sporting Life 10K run
May 13, 2018: I registered and completed the Sporting Life 10K run for the second time!
The first time I did it was in 2014, four years ago! That was when I was more physically fit as I remember attending Zumba sessions more regularly and even using the treadmill more often. Although I didn’t train specifically for that one, I did even less training for this year’s! Unfortunately in the weeks leading up to this run Continue reading
Azyun Restaurant located at 144 Main St N, Unit #17 in Markham
May 11, 2018: This was the night that my phone suddenly froze and I couldn’t get it to turn on until after the meal when I got home. Luckily, I was able to make it to Azyun Restaurant even though I didn’t have the exact address on me as I was driving there XD. Thus, I took fewer photos than I probably would have if Continue reading
Tracy Dessert located at 3255 Highway 7 East, Unit 29 in Markham
May 2, 2018: I desperately needed a visit to a Chinese dessert shop to get some herbal turtle jelly to soothe my heaty body, so I went to Tracy Dessert (许留山) at First Markham Place for it. (I always thought it was called “Tracy’s Desserts” and not just “Tracy Dessert”. Did they change their name recently?) Continue reading

April 21, 2018: After the Float Your Fanny event, we headed to Dreamers’ Cafe for lunch. Dreamers’ Cafe is located in downtown Port Hope and is one of the cutest cafes! I had previously stopped by on Continue reading
Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny in Port Hope, Ontario
April 21, 2018: Every year, the town of Port Hope in Ontario hosts a one-of-a-kind commemorative community event called the “Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny”. Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny is a 10km race along the Ganaraska River to commemorate the 1980 flood that crippled Port Hope’s downtown area. It’s a most appropriate and creative name as the majestic river that runs through this small town is called the “Ganny” for Continue reading

April 19, 2018: After the YamChops cookbook launch event, Grace and I headed down the street to find a local cafe to grab a drink and chitchat. She found Empire Espresso which was a really cute and hipstery cafe that served coffees, drinks, and small bites. Continue reading
YamChops located at 705 College St in Toronto
April 19, 2018: Back in mid-April, I had a pleasure of attending my first vegan cookbook launch event! YamChops is Toronto’s only vegan (plant-based) “butcher” and they were holding a media event for fellow bloggers and foodie friends to visit to sample some bites as well as receive a free copy of the cookbook! YamChops is located in Little Italy on College Street a few streets east of Ossington. Continue reading
