Christian and I had an early breakfast at the Eggsmart at the Leslie and 16th location in Richmond Hill recently. It was nice that he doesn’t start work until 10 a.m. so that we could meet up for breakfast here. The restaurant was empty except for one other table when I arrived. The girl that was working there was very friendly and even ensured that the wifi was working for me when I asked for it. Continue reading

I really have been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for a long time now! Copacabana is a Brazilian steakhouse franchise that has locations all over Toronto and even in Niagara. They base their cooking on Brazilian-style grills where slabs of meat are stuck on a stick, seasoned, and grilled. They have an all-you-can-eat style where after you peruse their beautiful salad bar, you sit at your table and carvers (gauchos) with the meat come around to your table and ask if you want any. Nicole, Ron, and I visited Sweet Note Desserts on a Thursday afternoon to hang out and to try the desserts. I’ve heard of Sweet Note before and have passed by their storefront many times when I’ve eaten at the Commerce Gate Plaza (King Dragon Cuisine, Donburi, Shaanxi). This was my first time trying them out!
Walking into the dessert shop, it was actually so much more spacious than I expected it to be. There was a lot of open space where there were tables and chairs with the cutest homemade lollipop centre pieces. Continue reading
