For our second last night of dinner on board the Norwegian Getaway cruise, we returned back to one of the main dining rooms to eat. For this night, they had a chocolate special during the dessert course where every single one of the desserts were chocolate-related! We definitely wanted to be there for that! 😛
Again, we were smart and knew to arrive at dinner early. We ate at Taste Dining Room (Taste and Savor looked exactly the same inside). Thus, our usual crew of eight was seated by 5:30 p.m., ready to order, and eat!

Potato Gnocchi & Italian Sausage
-snow peas, green beans, tomato concassé
The Potato Gnocchi & Italian Sausage was divine!!! 😀 So good! It was the perfect blend of seasoning and salt for me. The potato gnocchis were perfectly made too!
This French Onion Soup was very mediocre; not like the first time I had it on a cruise.
The Beef Burger Slider was so good!!! Tasty burger :). I finally knew what all the hype was about since so many people had ordered it before me and raved about it. It’s amazing how something so small could have such a satisfying result!
The Boston Bib Wedge Salad was so disappointing. It was just a iceberg lettuce salad with fresh greenery. Why do they call it a “Boston Bib Wedge” Salad anyway?
The Breaded Cajun Shrimp & Braised Beef Short Ribs were all right. The braised beef ribs were soft. The breaded Cajun shrimp was fried poorly.
The Whole Roasted Turkey Sage & Onion Stuffing was absolutely delicious and so smooth and lean!!! The mashed potatoes were good. :9
I tried a bite of the Red ‘Dal’ Lentil Curry that Sarah ordered and it was absolutely delicious and so flavourful! We should have ordered this to share too!
Tonight’s desserts were all chocolate:
The Profiterole Chocolate Cream was my least favourite. I didn’t like the shell since it was mushy.
The White Chocolate Raspberry Mousse was so good!
The Chocolate Nutella Pot De Creme was good too!
The Beetroot Chocolate Cake was decent and good.
The Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Bar was too sweet but dense and reminded us of Christian’s birthday cake last year.
The Opera Cake was the best. Light, smooth, and coffee-like.
We were all so full by the end!! Good thing we had digestive enzymes to help us break down all the carbs and protein. :3
Keep tuning in for the last dinner we enjoyed on board the seven-day Norwegian Getaway cruise ship and for the excursions that we went on! 🙂
