Las Vegas Eats 2014: Jean-Philippe Pâtisserie

Located at the Bellagio
3600 Las Vegas Boulevard S

Calvin, Danny, Eric, and I were exploring the Bellagio Hotel on the first night of Vegas after our Cirque du Soleil Zarkana show and happened to pass by Jean-Philippe Pâtisserie.  It’s an European-style pastry shop that stands out since there’s a beautiful display of a choo-choo train near the ceiling with these glass-like glaciers coming out of it.  To the right of the shop, there is a world record: the world’s largest chocolate fountainContinue reading

Las Vegas Eats 2014: Hash House A Go Go

Located at The Quad
3535 Las Vegas Boulevard S

This place is ridiculous, and I mean ridiculous in a good way.

On the last day of Vegas, our flight was late at night (booked specifically for that reason) so we got to explore more of Vegas before we flew home.  We had a bit of a lazy morning where we finished packing and checked out of our temporary home at the Paris Las Vegas hotel (it was great!).  We walked over to the Quad where we had brunch at Hash House A Go Go.   Continue reading

Las Vegas Eats 2014: Spice Market Buffet

Located in Planet Hollywood
3667 Las Vegas Boulevard S

On the second last night of Vegas, the entire team celebrated with one of our biggest leaders, Max Chen, at Spice Market Buffet, one of the buffets in Vegas (and coincidentally also again in Planet Hollywood).  It was an international buffet that spanned food offerings from different nations like Mexican (tacos, baked beans) Italian (pizza, pasta, lasagna), Asian (sushi, rice), Middle Eastern/Mediterranean (humus, skewers, marinated olives), American (fried chicken, BBQ ribs), seafood, soup, salads, and more.   Continue reading

Achieving UFO for the first time! :D

Yay! My first UFO achieved in the second quarter of 2014

Last night was truly incredible.  We not only infiltrated the headquarters/council chambers of the North York Centre but we recognized some amazing and well-deserving individuals for reaching the UFO program of the second quarter of the year.

Las Vegas Eats 2014: Sushi & Seafood Buffet at Todai

Miracle Mile Shops
3663 Las Vegas Boulevard S #580

Yum!  All-you-can-eat quality sushi and seafood!!  I can’t believe how much I underestimated this buffet when the boys first suggested going to this as I figured it would be just run-of-the-mill sushi and I wanted to try something more extraordinary in Las Vegas.  Boy, was I wrong!   Continue reading

We’re moving!!!!! Wooooo!!!

Yay, it’s official, we got a new place to move into. About 10 months ago, we made a very big decision to sell the place we had been living in for 20 years. (Do you remember the stress I was under last summer?) Tonight we established that we’ll be moving again into another better and bigger place. ^_^ Continue reading

Las Vegas Eats 2014: Earl of Sandwich

Planet Hollywood

On our second day at Las Vegas, we were stuffed with information from the Chinese Boot Camp.  It was amazing and we learned so much already.  As such, we were quite hungry when it came to lunch time.  With not too much time, Vivian, Eric, and I dashed over to Planet Hollywood where we had some great sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich. Continue reading

Sushi & Oyster Bar at Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort

Located at 6380 Fallsview Blvd in Niagara Falls

After watching the Stomp! show at the Avalon Theatre at Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort (which was amazing by the way), we headed for an early dinner at the Sushi & Oyster Bar that was located directly inside the casino.  This meant that if you have young kids or minors, they can’t eat in there.  So exclusive!  This place is usually very pricey, but since our friend had some points to use towards dining at the casino, we saw this as a good opportunity to try out the restaurant.   Continue reading
