For my 6th Summerlicious restaurant this 2014 season, I ate with three other friends at 93 Harbord. What’s interesting about this restaurant is that their name is the same as their address. One of these happened to be Origin North which is located in the Bayview Village shopping area. Yang’s Chinese Cuisine is located in Markham near Highway 7 and Leslie. It’s your typical Chinese restaurant where you check off the items you want to order on a sheet of paper and submit it to the server who will then bring it to the kitchen and gradually deliver the various steamed baskets of baos and delicacies to your table to enjoy with tea. This is the first time that I’ve had vegan food at a western restaurant. By vegan food, I mean that the restaurant actually makes mock meat, also known as seitan. I was happily surprised to see Grasslands on this year’s summerlicious roster and was eager to try it out. Rock Lobster located at 110 Ossington Ave in Toronto
Rock Lobster has been on my to-go-to list for a while now so I was very happy when Christine and I were finally able to set a time to go there to try it out. While walking from the Dundas streetcar to the restaurant which is located on Ossington, I noticed that Ossington also is the home for restaurants like Hawker Bar and many other open-patio restaurants.
