GenYTO Christmas Gala 2015. One of the few big group shots this year
I usually don’t blog about banquet or convention hall/wedding food, but as I’ve been blogging in a journal-style and recording more of my experiences and adventures than ever before on this blog, I’ll be writing up about our GenYTO Christmas Gala 2015 this year. Continue reading
Home. December 2015
Merry Christmas, everyone! This is a picture taken just *now*. These little guys are always here for me but sometimes I’m so busy that I forget to say hi to them. Christmas morning and the sun is shining, so the littlest one pops up with her head stretched long and wide above the other one to say hi. Continue reading
My second CBC in Las Vegas 🙂
Back in June of this year (June 20), I went to Las Vegas for the second time for business and pleasure. Yay! It’s so amazing to be able to travel to so many places to do productive work, learn with others around the world, and see things that you normally wouldn’t when you’re at home. Love travelling! Continue reading
Marlowe Restaurant & Wine Bar located at 155 York Boulevard, Unit 1 in Richmond Hill
Recently, I bought this amazing restaurant voucher booklet/app from entertainment.com where it features hundreds of deals and redeemable coupons for restaurants all over Toronto. I was so excited to use it! I bought it for $24 (usual price is $40) on the website and also got 15% cashback for it. To use it, all you have to do is open the app before you order with the server or to clip the coupon and show them. Continue reading
Homemade Creamy Cucumber Salad
It’s been a while since I tried out a new recipe and made it for a pot luck party. I remember a couple of years ago when me and my friends used to challenge each other and make a new dish to share at a pot luck every month. It was like a friendly “Iron Chef” to see what each person would make and taste it. Continue reading
Hot Pot on Yonge Chinese Cuisine located at 5441 Yonge Street in North York
Hot pot is always fun! It’s when you gather with some friends or family and place lots of raw and uncooked food into a boiling pot to eat together! I think the origin of this Chinese cuisine started when people wanted to keep their food hot while eating. For that reason, hot pot is especially common during the winter months. Continue reading
Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant located at 230 Commerce Valley Dr E #2 in Markham
Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant opened a little more than a month ago in Markham near Commerce Valley Drive near Highway 7. It is an upscale Spanish tapas restaurant that has a downtown flair. It is really nicely decorated inside with a long bar, open concept kitchen, and lots of space for big and small groups to dine at.
Anh, Eric, and I came here on a Friday evening to try out this restaurant since we are all major foodies (and food bloggers; well, two of us that is :P). Continue reading
Potato Noodle Soup of Bai located at 4300 Steeles Avenue East in Markham
Sometimes, simple is best… or maybe not 100% of the time (as you’ll see in the following blog post why XD). In the second floor of Pacific Mall, in the food court, there is a vendor called Potato Noodle Soup of Bai that specializes in “potato noodles” and also hot soup noodles in general. Continue reading
Richmond Hill, Ontario. October 2014
It’s so appropriate that this week’s theme is “gathering” since this is definitely the time that many of us gather together with friends and family to celebrate the holidays and the end of this year (over lots of food and positive spirits). In fact, my friends and I just had a gathering last night where we had a lot of food, games, and fun. Continue reading
I can’t wait for more adventures with more friends next time!
About two weekends ago, our team set out in a small fleet of cars on a journey to the east (lol) to Montreal because one of our mentors in the business was hosting a training. After meeting at McDonalds so that some people could fill up on a morning breakfast (I ate at home), we were off. Continue reading
