After our amazing day of training and learning, we went to Win Yeung Chinese Restaurant in Haliburton for dinner. We called ahead of time to let this Chinese restaurant know that up to 20 people were on the way (otherwise, being a small town, they might not be ready for all of us all at once). After checking in and settling into our villa, we went out for dinner at The Pepper Mill Steak & Pasta House in Minden, Ontario. Since our breakfast brunch that morning was just a relatively small one at Goldsor Restaurant, most of us were starving by the time it was 5 p.m. when we were scheduled to have dinner. Rustic Tuscan Sausage Stew from Fresh City Farms
The second Recipe Bag that I tried from Fresh City Farms with compliments was a meat dish called Rustic Tuscan Sausage Stew with White Beans & Spinach. As I mentioned in my first feature of Fresh City Farms, they are a delivery service of fresh, organic, and locally sourced produce and ingredients with recipes that you can make at home. Their farm is actually located in Toronto at Downsview Park (a six acre farm and a 3000 square foot year-round greenhouse space).
