Dim Sum at Mong Kok Chinese Restaurant

Located at 8360 Kennedy Road in Markham

As per usual, we met up on a Saturday morning for food and to chat.  We are the Round Table Foodies!  No, really, we’re just called Roundies lol.  On this particular day, instead of making  buying food to bring to eat together, we went to Mong Kok Chinese Restaurant for dim sum at 9 o’clock in the morning.   Continue reading

Lunch at Dickens Cafe (Richmond Hill)

Located at 9425 Leslie Street in Richmond Hill

Last week, for lunch, my mom and I went to Richlane Mall for food.  It was my first time to this mall in a while and its Cantonese translation is “rich eat street”, meaning a street or plaza full of amazing food!  I was in the mood for some good old Hong Kong style cafe, so we headed to Dickens Cafe.   Continue reading

Playing Snookball at Ballers’ Bistro!

Located at 600 Matheson Boulevard West, Unit 4 in Mississauga

I was honoured and pleased to be able to attend a pre-opening party at Ballers’ Bistro in Mississauga.  Ballers’ Bistro is the first restaurant in Canada to offer snookball entertainment!  If you don’t know what snookball is, it’s basically a hybrid of pool and soccer.  There is a giant life-sized pool table where you use your feet to hit the pools balls (these are soccer balls painted as pool balls) to play a game of pool.   Continue reading

Food at Elm Hurst Inn & Spa

Located at 415 Harris St. in Ingersoll, Ontario

Perhaps it is in bad taste to review the food from a wedding venue, but I’m going to do it anyway (XD) (mostly because the food was so exquisite and I want to share this place with you guys).  This past weekend, I was at a friend’s wedding hosted at Elm Hurst Inn & Spa in Ingersoll, Ontario.  It is a lengthy drive for anyone living in Toronto (1.5-2 hour drive one way), but if you would like a nice getaway from the hectic city life and want to see some peaceful scenery and relax, it is a great place!   Continue reading

Canadian Sharing Plates at Boralia! [Defunct]

Located at 59 Ossington Ave in Toronto

What an exquisite feast and foodie adventure we had at Boralia!  Ai Ling, Jing, and I haven’t dined together since our summer trip to Montreal three years ago.  I came across Boralia by chance when I was searching up restaurants to dine at earlier in the week.  A lot of restaurants on a top Toronto food list were already booked for this Saturday night but Boralia still had a table for three for 7:30 p.m.   Continue reading
