Bubble Tea & Desserts at FormoCha!

Located at 55 Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto

I am friends of a friend who opened up a bubble tea shop called FormoCha a couple of years ago!  I don’t know him personally but I’ve seen him around and I finally got the chance to try FormoCha for the first time a couple of weeks ago.   Continue reading

Grand Opening Party at Symposium Cafe in Whitchurch-Stouffville

Located at 5887 Main St in Whitchurch-Stouffville

Thank you, Mary, for inviting me to the Grand Opening Party of Symposium Cafe at Whitchurch-Stouffville!

Mary found me online and contacted me on my blog to invite me to their grand opening party of Symposium Cafe!  It was an honour to be at their launch party and it was so fun to be among so many excited patrons.

Nicole and I arrived a little after our pre-booked time of 5 p.m. due to the mass group of traffic going up north.   Continue reading

Delicious Gelato at Kekou Gelato!

Located at 13 Baldwin Street in Toronto

Yay!  I finally got to try Kekou Gelato!  I’ve heard many positive and rave reviews about this place from my friends.  This is a little gelato shop that serves gelato on Baldwin Street in Toronto.  After our highly disappointing dinner at Ramyun next door, we came here for some refreshing dessert.

Their entrance is unassuming and if it weren’t for a little sign on the top and on the side that shows their signage, you wouldn’t know that they are the popular Kekou Gelato place.   Continue reading

Ramen, Poutine, Wings Tasting at Ramyun

Located at 1 Baldwin Street in Toronto

Earlier this week, I was invited to Ramyun by the owner of the restaurant for a complimentary meal.  Harry said that he had just opened Ramyun and wanted me to try out their restaurant by providing a free appetizer, a ramyun dish (two if I was bringing a friend), and half a pound of their house chicken wings.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Muse

Mon Ami Gabi, Las Vegas. June 2015

This is my muse — food and travelling.  Take this away from me and I will die a little bit on the inside.

I can’t get enough of having new experiences.  No matter where you go to eat food, the experience is different.  Whether it be the food itself, the restaurant, the location, the company that you’re eating with, the experience, and even yourself as a person — it is different every single time.   Continue reading

Lou Dawg’s is a Southern BBQ restaurant that also has space for open mic and live music.  It’s located on 589 King Street West in downtown Toronto.

It’s right underneath Home of the Brave (another great place) and they have an outdoor patio as well.   Continue reading

Breakfast at Eggsmart (Leslie & 16th location)

Located at 1550 16th Ave. in Richmond Hill

Christian and I had an early breakfast at the Eggsmart at the Leslie and 16th location in Richmond Hill recently.  It was nice that he doesn’t start work until 10 a.m. so that we could meet up for breakfast here.  The restaurant was empty except for one other table when I arrived.  The girl that was working there was very friendly and even ensured that the wifi was working for me when I asked for it.   Continue reading

Dining at Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse!!

Located at 230 Adelaide St. West in Toronto

I really have been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for a long time now!  Copacabana is a Brazilian steakhouse franchise that has locations all over Toronto and even in Niagara.  They base their cooking on Brazilian-style grills where slabs of meat are stuck on a stick, seasoned, and grilled.  They have an all-you-can-eat style where after you peruse their beautiful salad bar, you sit at your table and carvers (gauchos) with the meat come around to your table and ask if you want any.  It’s a beautiful restaurant and I am so happy that I got to try this place!   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: ROY G. BIV

Rainbow in Markham. May 2015

This week’s theme is so fun!  ROY G. BIV means the colours of the rainbow!  Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. 🙂  Just several weeks ago, we saw a big giant rainbow spreading across the sky in Markham.  There were many social media posts that went up on Facebook and the like because of it.  I took one of course too, naturally! 😉   Continue reading
