SkyCity Bistro located at 1 Sky City Road East, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong SAR in Hong Kong
September 21, 2017:
We enjoyed a buffet lunch today at the SkyCity Bistro at the Marriott Hong Kong Hotel near the airport in Chek Lap Kok. Our family friend had a 30% off for the entire table.
SkyCity Bistro is a buffet located inside the hotel. Thus, it was very modern, classy, and sophisticated inside with staff that were highly professional and courteous (one of the staff ladies apologized to me when I returned to the table with a fresh plate of food as my old plate hadn’t been removed yet).
The lunch selection was varied and included a cheese counter, salad bar, breads and soup, sushi and sashimi, cold seafood appetizers, custom-order noodle station, dim sum corner, carving station, and hot foods of Western, Cantonese, and Indian influences. The dessert station included various cakes, jellos, pastries, Portuguese tarts (I’ve never seen that at a buffet before), and individually portioned Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
The sushi quality was on par to a regular Japanese restaurant!
Yummy veggies and mushrooms :).
Yummy curry and naan!
Although I love cheese, I actually didn’t try any of it. I only tried one of the cold cuts. 🙂
We were one of the first ones to dine in.
I thought that there was a really solid selection of food that all tasted good. I especially liked the salmon sashimi, soba noodles, vegetables, and soup noodles. They had roasted pork and cha siu too!
The pumpkin soup was a bit on the sweet side.
The bowl of thin noodles that my mom had was really good! Even she was impressed with it and she isn’t usually a thin noodles fan.
The desserts were all very impressive too. I liked particularly the red velvet cake and cheesecake. It was so good!
The Bean Curd Pudding was standard.
The Chocolate Lava Pudding was a bit on the sweet and dense side for me.
Amazing red velvet cake done right! 😀
You could slice as large or as little of the cheesecake as you desired.
The Mango mochi was served in a little plastic package and was so tasty! The skin of the mochi was very thin. 🙂
It was a great spot to have a group lunch buffet.
Overall, a very decent and solid International lunch buffet.
OMG it looks so good! I’m almost drooling…ahhhhhhh
Haha, yea, I was quite satisfied with this buffet! 🙂
