The first time I’ve had Me Va Me was at their Bathurst and Steeles location in North York when my friend Marilyn brought me there many years ago. It was a take-out location with a few tables for you to sit and I remember liking their food that time. Fast forward to today and they have recently opened up a location at the new Cineplex Cinemas Markham & VIP! Continue reading

Yay! I finally got the chance to try out this restaurant! Beast Restaurant is located at 96 Tecumseth Street in downtown Toronto near Bathurst and King. It’s a meat-focused restaurant so don’t bring any friends here who might be vegetarian. Continue reading
Grandma’s birthday in Scarborough. January 2015
This week’s photo challenge focuses on the word “connect”. I like how they used the example of a bridge that connects two lands together. To me right now, “connect” means people connecting together and building relationships that way. Continue reading

I had the pleasure of visiting and dining at one of Greater Toronto Area’s newest all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. This one is called KAKA All You Can Eat and it’s located at the plaza strip of First Markham Place in Markham (Highway 7 and Woodbine). This restaurant used to be Sense Modern Japanese (I blogged about it here). Continue reading
CNE 2015! 😀
It’s that time of the year again! Eating crazy food at the Ex! The Canadian National Exhibition has been promoting some off-the-charts crazy food creations in the recent years and most of us foodies fall for it because it not only looks delicious but seems crazy to try.
You get a lot of weird combinations that might taste good but on the whole, it is a risk to take.
The last time that I was at CNE was actually two years ago. Continue reading

Kabuki Sushi Lounge is a high-end sushi and sashimi lounge that is located at Shops on Don Mills in Toronto. They serve fresh sushi with daily specials like fresh oyster, uni (sea urchin), toro, and more. They had a very upscale restaurant that fits into the likes of the restaurants that are in this area. Did you know that there is an annual Coconut Festival hosted in downtown Toronto every year? This is their second year of hosting it! This year, they hosted the Coconut Festival 2015 at the David Pecaut Square which is right next to Roy Thompson Hall. It is just a two-minute walk from St. Andrew Subway Station and was the perfect spot to have an outdoor coconut-focused festival! Continue reading

I hadn’t had an shawarma in a long time, the last one being at Rifca’s Mediterranean and the Friendly House Restaurant — which I loved– so it was great to have a weekday lunch with some of the best leaders in the team. Continue reading

Earlier this week, Nicole and I had lunch at Kenkou Sushi Bar (their website seems to be down..), a sushi restaurant she’s frequented many times before since it is close to her residence. I was happy to try a new restaurant again and it never hurts that it’s sushi! Continue reading

This noodle shop used to be something else. It either used to be a Japanese ramen place or a beef noodle place. Either way, the previous businesses failed and now this one is in place. To be honest, I’m not sure how much longer they will last too since it doesn’t seem like they get a lot of traffic or customers and maybe their feng shui is not that great. Continue reading
