Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

Located at 3302 High Pt Rd in Greensboro

Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill is really disappointing.  I would suggest going to the other restaurants like Darryl’s which is across the street.  When we arrived, we were a huge group of 18 and were told that we wouldn’t be able to get a table for another 45 minutes to an hour.  We decided against waiting for that long for a table so some of us decided to get take-out instead since getting take-out means getting the food faster.   Continue reading

Road Trip to Greensboro and MAIC 2014!

The road trip that changed lives — August 6-11, 2014

At the beginning of August, hundreds of young, ambitious, hardworking, kind-hearted, and energetic individuals boarded eight buses to go on a 14-hour road trip to a little-known city in North Carolina — Greensboro.  This was my second convention to learn more about new technologies and how to take control of my own economy but the very first road trip where I’ve travelled with 50 other friends on a tour bus together.   Continue reading

Lohas Cafe [Defunct]

Located at 3255 Highway 7 East, Unit 19 in Markham

Tracy and I met up at Lohas Cafe to chat and catch up recently.  I had originally wanted to visit Lambie Bubble Tea since I really liked the environment and food there, but to my surprise, we discovered that it was closed down.  What!  That place was such a nice place for food and casual chats.  Luckily, since First Markham Place has shops and restaurants around every corner, we decided to go into Lohas Cafe instead.   Continue reading

Aragvi Restaurant’s new location in Vaughan

Aragvi located at 2006 Highway 7 in Vaughan

I had the pleasure of being invited to dine at Aragvi Restaurant again for the opening of their brand new location in Vaughan.  Remember when I first stepped into Aragvi in my first blog post review of them and commented that they serve delicious food but reside in an area that doesn’t look that nice?  Well, this new location is big and cozy and definitely an improvement from their old location.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Adventure!

Treetop trekking adventure! July, 2014

The example picture for this week’s photo challenge of Adventure! shows two people partaking in stand up paddling.  I actually did that this past weekend too!  However, I don’t want to show that picture although it was a heck of an adventure to stand up and paddle on a board.  Instead, I’m going to show another picture of an adventure.  This summer, I got to go treetop trekking for the very first time!   Continue reading

Kenny’s Noodle [Defunct]

Located at 4733 Steeles Avenue East, Unit #7 in Scarborough

After our very first run-through of our TLS party, a couple of us gathered at Kenny’s Noodle for dinner.  I’ve been to Kenny’s Noodle in the past on multiple occasions and never really loved their food since it was mediocre Chinese food and lacked a little something in their food that made a returning trip really worth it.   Continue reading

My Wonderful Kitchen

Located at Unit 101, 350 Hwy 7 E in Richmond Hill

This is another restaurant that I’ve been recommended to by friends solely due to social media.  Social media is SO powerful nowadays — all you do is recommend things to friends online on Facebook or instagram and bam!, they want to know more and will actually go out to buy or try something based on what you posted.  Imagine if we could get paid for doing this free “advertising”.  Wouldn’t that be cool?   Continue reading

Home :)

Moving homes 2014

I’m writing again from my stenograph.  Since I was spending a lot of time last week packing away things and moving to a new home, I also had my computer reinstalled and didn’t get a chance to connect my stenograph to my computer so I had to resort to using my QWERTY keyboard to type.  I haven’t written about steno stuff in a while, but I can’t tell you how much I missed using it to type and write to people.   Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Dialogue

Sweet and Salty — What chu saying to each other?!

This week’s photo challenge is about dialogue — two pictures “talking” to each other.  When I opened up my folders to find a good fit — initially thinking what the heck am I going to use for this challenge –, the first two pictures that I saw “spoke” to me (lol, pun intended!).
